About the practice
Dr. Rekha Bamania
A consulting homeopath in Vadodara since 2008, holding a Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery and registered with the Council of Homoeopathic System of Medicine, Gujarat State.
Over 18 years she has seen both sudden complaints and the long-standing ones people have lived with for years — often after trying several other things first. Cases are taken personally, in her own hand, at both clinics.
She also served as Medical Officer with the Vadodara Municipal Corporation. That is unusual for a homeopath, and it matters: she has seen common illness at public-health volume, is comfortable reading the reports patients bring from other doctors, and knows when a case belongs somewhere other than her consulting room.
Her aim
“What I want for everyone who comes to me is simple: to live their life normally — sleep well, eat well, work, and enjoy time with their family without constant health worries”
That is why the first consultation is unhurried, and why she asks about things that may seem unrelated to the complaint. In homeopathy the whole picture is the case, and the case is what the prescription is built from.
Qualifications and standing
Everything here can be checked
- Degree
- Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (B.H.M.S.) — the five-and-a-half year graduate degree, including a year of clinical internship.
- Postgraduate diploma
- PG Diploma in Advance Clinical Research — ICRI (Institute of Clinical Research, India), Ahmedabad, 2010. Training in how clinical studies are designed, conducted and reported, which is what allows her to read the trial literature and hospital reports patients bring with them.
- Registration
- Reg. No. G-8579 with the Council of Homoeopathic System of Medicine, Gujarat State, valid to 31 December 2030. Issued in her maiden name, Rekhabahen Babarbhai Parmar.
- In practice
- Since 2008 — 18 years, at two clinics in Vadodara.
- Public service
- Served as Medical Officer with the Vadodara Municipal Corporation, seeing common illness at public-health volume across the city.
- Consultations
- Over 5,000 consultations since 2008, across the two Vadodara clinics — everyday complaints, long-standing ones, and families she has now seen through three generations.
- Patients further afield
- Most patients are from Vadodara and around Gujarat. A good number are elsewhere in India, and families who have moved to the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States have stayed with the practice, consulting by video call and keeping the same case history.
- Recognised system
- Homoeopathy is one of the systems of medicine recognised by the Government of India under the Ministry of AYUSH, with its own statutory councils, degree courses and practitioner register.
- Languages
- Consultations in Gujarati, Hindi and English — and she translates clinical research documentation professionally between all three.
- Working with other doctors
- Many patients are under the care of other doctors at the same time. Bring your prescriptions and reports — and never stop a medicine another doctor has prescribed without speaking to them first.

Clinical research translation, English, ગુજરાતી and हिंदी
Alongside the clinic, Dr. Bamania translates clinical research documentation between English, Gujarati and Hindi, in any direction — professionally and for a fee, as a separate engagement from consultation.
This is where the postgraduate diploma does its work. Study documentation has its own vocabulary — endpoints, adverse events, eligibility, the exact obligations a consent form places on a participant — and it is written to be read back by an ethics committee. A translator who has been trained in how these documents are constructed renders them as documents, not as sentences.
The language matters here specifically: a participant consents in the language they actually read, and a consent form that drifts in translation is a consent that was never properly taken. In Gujarat that is Gujarati or Hindi far more often than English.
It is also why the Gujarati and Hindi on this website are written and reviewed by her rather than machine translated.
Typical work
- Informed consent forms and participant information sheets
- Study protocols, synopses and case report forms
- Ethics committee submissions and regulatory documentation
- Standard operating procedures and site training material
This is study documentation rather than individual patient records. Enquiries by phone, WhatsApp or email — please say it is about translation, so it is not scheduled as a consultation.
Come and talk it through.
